Life's Little Details

"The details are not the details. They make the design." -- Charles Eames
Happy Monday, m' dears! I hope your weekend was as snazzy and sparkly as you are. Things around Lil' Puna have been rather busy, and it looks like it's going to stay that way for awhile. My father-in-law will be arriving this upcoming Saturday, and we're super excited to welcome another visitor! We've got all sorts of fun things planned, and I can't wait to share our adventures with you. But before I get ahead of myself, we've got to get through the work week. It's shaping up to be a busy one. The September to-dos have got me feeling slightly swamped, but that's nothing a cute notepad and my favorite pen can't take care of. While I fine tune my lists, enjoy some photos from the past week -- they're the details that make this life a whole lot sweeter.
A snail mail surprise from my mom! Adorable, isn't it? // Warhol special-edition Campbell's soup cans at Target. I call it cheap decor!
Tasked with picking up Macarons for Fashion's Night Out. Naturally, I snagged two for myself! // The FNO ensemble.
Flyboy caught me standing on the counter while painting trim. This is my "business mode" look. // Vee-Dub maintenance.
Marc Johns inspiration -- I couldn't have said it better myself! // Pomegranate Iced Tea makes break time so much sweeter.
Caught in the act -- Tripp picking up Kukui Nuts in the backyard. // This bag made me smile. Spinners are winners.
A cheeky six-pick we found at Whole Foods. It's fitting. // Fall-inspired flora.
I got my grubby little hands on a copy of Domino's latest special-edition issue. // We spent Sunday at the Honolulu Museum of Art.
I have a Frankenthaler and Matisse at my fingertips, but this portrait room (stunning!) and Hans Hofmann painting take the cake.
Hope your Monday is marvy!
Toodles,
ANF

  1. I love that necklace you wore for FNO... STUNNING! And I need to get my grubby little hands on that domino and the campbell's soup cans... maybe it'll be a one stop shot situation at Target!
