Howdy! Tomorrow is my birthday. Twenty-six years ago, the world made room for a little more fancy. Woo hoo! After a busy week of visitors and prepping for Flyboy's upcoming departure, I'm ready to unwind a little. Well, maybe just eat a big slice of yellow cake with chocolate frosting -- there's nothing fancy about it, but it's my fave! On my birthday, I can get away with eating a ginormous stinkin' slice for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. I love that! Add a little Gin cocktail to the mix, and I'll be on cloud nine.
We don't have a lot planned, but that's the way I like it. I don't care much for birthday hullabaloo. I'd rather spend the day with my family and keep the celebration simple. We'll probably go out to eat, go to the beach, and spend time together. Flyboy leaves for his two-month deployment on Monday, so we'll focus on getting him packed. Yup, I'll even get the opportunity to organize this weekend. I'm one lucky gal!
I'd be lying if I said I wasn't feeling a bit Ramotional at the moment. Rest assured, I won't be drinking any Pinot like Ms. Singer this weekend -- that would just be disastrous! Then again, perhaps a little Turtle Time might do the body good. Ha ha!
Although I'll miss him dearly, I'd rather not throw another public pity party. Instead, I thought I'd share a few sunny images to keep on the bright side. There's so much to be happy about!
Have a delightful weekend!
