This Week's Love List

Here's what made me jump for joy this week...
"Hot pink is a neutral. Tell me one single color that doesn’t look good with hot pink."
-Designer Roman Alonso, when asked what working with Isaac Mizrahi has taught him (via Lonny Mag).

Happy Feet

There's nothing better than an Essie pink hue. Hello, Miami Nice!

J. Crew's Fall 2011 Lookbook

Cute as a button.

Friendship Cuffs -- Aren't they gorgeous?

Agreed.

A Tulip Field in Holland.

And here are my top three moments this week...
#1.) Flyboy had a local flight last night, and he flew a few patterns around our house. I sat on our roof with a box of Target wine and soaked it all up. It was one of those moments that I'll remember forever. It was the first time that I saw him fly the C-17. It made me extra proud!

#2.)  We have a bad case of Tour de France mania at our house. Sounds of Phil Liggett and Paul Sherwen might lead one to believe the cycling commentators are lounging in our living room with us. During a commercial break, I told flyboy that if I played the lottery this week and won, I'd treat him to a European adventure where we'd visit the various stages. I also told him that I'd buy him a fancy new road bike.  Of course the dogs and I would join him on the trek. I'd bring a bike along to join him for an occasional photo op, but you'd most likely find the pups and me riding alongside in a Jetta Wagon. We're the Robin Williams to his Lance Armstrong.

While discussing this hypothetical lottery win, we also talked about visiting Bern to explore Beesly's Swiss roots. It's just really fun to dream. We had a good chuckle or two...

#3.)  The Million Dollar Decorators season finale was bittersweet. I've grown to love Mary and Kathryn. I'm not sure what my week is looking like without them. I'm sure I'll find another Bravo show to fill this void. For now, I'll just sit and stare at Mary's Hollywood guesthouse den. Her signature use of stripes makes my heart go pitter patter.
