I'll admit that hopping back on the bloggie bandwagon this past week hasn't been all that easy. I feel like I'm stuck in a rut. Anyone else with me? I hope that with each post published, the creative juices will start oozing from my journal. If I'm lucky, my mouse and keyboard will have issues keeping up with all of my bright ideas (sooner than later, please). I think that piddling around with my new Wacom tablet might just do the trick! Here's to hoping...
Until then, I'll continue to scout some of my favorite blogs, books, and websites for inspiration. As evident below, the easiest way for me to work through a creative lull is by playing with pictures and colors. But since many of you devote a few minutes of your day to this blog, what would you like to see more of this year? I'm open to any ideas.
And while I continue to brainstorm, here are a few things that leave me feeling inspired...
2013: A Fresh Start // A cheeky illustration by Emily McDowell.
Coraline Patent Flats // Darling, aren't they? I wonder if the patent is comfy or not?
Arcade Bath Towels // I can't seem to get enough Jonathan Adler these days. I blame my sister.
Change // Check out Striking Truths for more words of wisdom.
Stripes Up Top // Tidying up around the house leaves me wish I had striped walls. Maybe someday?!
Hello, Blog // Kristin Nohe's blog is so cheerful and colorful. You must check it out.
Celebrate! // I adore Katie Evans and this snazzy illustration.
Club Chair // Be still my beating heart. I think I'll just pretend to sit down in this for awhile.
Go Be Audacious! // Could this be my mantra for 2013?
Pretty Pashmina // Such a vivid color. I'm in love!
Things We Love // Yup, Kate Spade's book will be released later this month. Excuse me while I click my heels.
Make It Happen // Okay, I think I will...
Organization // The left side of my brain requested that I add this helpful pin to today's post.
Sarah Campbell Quote // I don't think I could have said it better myself.
Resolutions: Try a red lip. // I love the simple design used in J.Crew's Happy New Year post.
Twigg's Bindery // I need to bank this idea for the future.
Perfect // "Have no fear of perfection. You'll never reach it." - Salvador Dali
Yes! I'm so with you re: getting back on the bloggy bandwagon. For me, I think it's the fact that it's Summer here in Australia and I can't seem to get motivated to do anything other than swim in the pool! Yours is one of my favourite blogs to read and I love how your posts are always so visually creative & inspiring. Don't go changing a thing...I'll happily wait until you get your blogging groove back :)ReplyDelete
I'm still trying to get back into the habit of blogging. I love those patent flats, the strap on the ankle is adorable. Also the color of that pashmina is my new favorite, I want to buy everything I see in that color.ReplyDelete
I absolutely agree with you on the challenge of jumping back on the blogging bandwagon... for some reason as easy as I thought it would be to jump right back in after the holidays & with the start of the new year, it seems to be even harder than ever... You have a unique voice and really don't think you need to go changing a thing, stick with it, keep up what you've been doing because it's uniquely YOU and the reason I and so many others come to read your blog on a daily basis. :) Happy 2013!ReplyDelete
I've been following your blog fo a while now and just wanted to let you know that your blog makes me happy! Keep doing what you're doing cause I love it!ReplyDelete
As for staying on the blogging train... it gets exhausting and sometimes I'm not inspired to write!
I love to see the positivity and the bright colors and your unique spin.ReplyDelete
And I love a questionnaire, interview, top 10 (or 5) list, and stuff like that. It's nice that you encourage readers to interact in such similar ways currently. Keep it up!
