Happy New Year! If there's one thing I learned in the year 2012, it's that my life looks a lot more charming via Instagram and its Valencia filter. What can I say? I think most of us will take any help we can get. Am I right? With this magic app, the deep wrinkle on my forehead isn't nearly as noticeable, and I can pretend to be some sort of fancy schmancy photographer with the click of a button. While some call Instagram Twitter for illiterates, it has taught me to stop and soak up life's little details. Here are some of my favorite moments from the past few weeks.
Excited to share Lil' Puna with my parents. // You've Got Mail // Dad strolling the beach. // Gettin' festive with it.
Mom watching dad play in the waves. // The Pit Masters // Christmas Eve Hike // One last picture before we said good bye.
My Christmas gift to Flyboy. Great success! // Accessories are my favorite. // Wishing I could wear these. // Just a wild and crazy guy.
So excited about my moose! // Loving my loot! // Mom and dad got me a Lulie Wallace. Eek, I'm smitten! // Silliness from Flyboy.
Thank-you notes and J.Crew's latest Style Guide. // Heavenly Cheesecake // A Beautiful View // Looking ahead at 2013.
I'll admit that I didn't want to think about writing today's post. Of course, I missed you all and I wanted to catch up, but it also meant that my mom and dad's visit was over, the holidays had passed, and Flyboy would depart for training. All of this bliss just came to a sudden halt, and I wasn't really ready to say good bye. The time we spent together was so precious to me. Sometimes I think it's a blessing and a curse to love your family this much. That sounds so cheesy, but it's the honest truth. Fortunately, I've got a handful of dear memories that I'll hold with me as I take on this new year. I hope your holiday season was just as joyous. I know great things are in store for 2013, and I can't wait to experience it with you. Always believe that something wonderful is about to happen.
