Need Read Greed

Today's Need Read Greed courtesy of Archana Ram from My SoCal'd Life:

• Need: I generally don't enjoy wearing makeup — lipstick, mascara, foundation, they're not for me — but I feel completely naked without a black winged eyeliner. I've tried pretty much every brand out there but always come back to the $3 liquid eyeliner by Wet n Wild. Take my concealer and moisturizer, but don't take my eyeliner!
• Read: I'm halfway through Where'd You Go, Bernadette? by Maria Semple and loving it, which I'm sure has a lot to do with the fact that Semple was a writer on one of my favorite TV shows, Arrested Development. It's simultaneously sharp, satirical and sweet, and the main character, Bernadette, is as dysfunctional and deranged as Lucille Bluth.
• Greed: I'm obsessed with all things mint green, but the one thing I really want decked out in that color is a Vespa — even though I'm kind of terrified to ride solo on one. I dream of cruising to the farmer's market, picking up Ranunculus, bread, and cheese, then jetting off to the beach, while wearing a fedora that would never fly off my head.

Oh, and the imagery of fresh Ranunculus, bread, and a Vespa... Absolutely dreamy!
