LIFE'S LITTLE DETAILS

"THE DETAILS ARE NOT THE DETAILS. THEY MAKE THE DESIGN." — CHARLES EAMES

Happy Tuesday, y'all! I'm going to be honest and tell you I didn't carve out much time to write today's post like I should have. No, I was too busy savoring Erin Loechner's book Chasing Slow. Have you read it? It's SO good. It will stick with you, and if you're like me, it will make you want to rethink some of the ways in which you choose to spend your time and assess what it is that you value in your life. Erin so thoughtfully reminds her readers that it's about HOW we interact with family and friends, the time we take for ourselves, and it's also about creating our own definition of professional and personal success. Her perspective will leave you feeling empowered and inspired through her earnest and beautiful writing—just as she has managed to do for years on her blog. While I should probably take a hint from the book's title and take my time reading it, I find myself highlighting passages and scribbling down notes because I want to share pieces of it with my mom, dad, sister, husband, etc. I'm so grateful for this book and I feel like it would be a giant mistake if I didn't pass this recommendation along to you wonderful people. Now, back to reading...

For those of you with questions about the photos or featured details, comment below and I'll get back to you. As you may have noticed, the Swell Rio hustle has been mostly the same as last week and the week before. Ha! It's all about our recuperating Berner, wily toddler, pom-pom errrrything, the hunt for fresh blooms, trips to the park, planes, etc. Same storyline, different day. Right??

Enough of my rambling for now. How the heck are YOU? I'm dying do know.
