To say I'm excited about The New Girl on Fox would be an understatement. Finally a show that embraces the awkwardly endearing and delightful personalities out there! I'm talking about Zooey Deschanel's character, Jess, not me (wink, wink). For about six months, I've made Flyboy stop every time I saw a commercial for the show. Yes, I laughed at the same clips -- as though it was the first time I'd seen it. I may have even snorted. I also found myself sitting on the couch playing with my imaginary spectacles, attempting to make a "waaa waaa waaa" sound. If you've seen the commercials, you know what scene I'm talking about. Don't judge, just set your DVR to record this fall TV gem.
Where will you be next Tuesday, September 20th, around 9/8c?
I'll be on the couch with some pink wine, smiling like a hungry badger.
Have a wonderful weekend!
P.S. Our visitors arrive tomorrow evening, and I'm ecstatic! I'll be back next week to check in with some brief posts and some photos documenting our island activities.
I am so excited for this show. It looks hilarious! They've made a Twitter account for Zooey's character Jess and it's so funny!ReplyDelete
Hope you have a great weekend with your visitors!
Have you watched it on Hulu yet? It's so good! It got a bit scary for me thought because I kept thinking "Yep, I've said that. Yes, I do sing to myself." Kinda creepy, in the best way! Have fun with your friends!ReplyDelete
I feel the same way- except it's about "Up All Night". I'm seeing a lot of these scenes in Chris and I's future! haha. Not to mention the hockey-loving husband's name is Chris and the daughter's name is Amy. Twilight Zone.ReplyDelete
Staley, I'm SO going to have to follow her Twitter! Thanks for letting me know. I'm so excited. Hope you have a great weekend:)ReplyDelete
AB, I saw the episode is on Hulu when I was putting this post together a few days ago. I'm really tempted to watch it. I think I might have to take a break today and just get a sneak peek. With fam coming into town, I'm afraid I might not have enough time to watch it Tuesday. Or at least, that's what I'll tell myself. Ha ha!
Aims, Nick and I have it on the DVR, but we haven't watched it yet. It looks like a hoot! I'm sure it's a great show for expecting parents like yourself!! You've got a lot to look forward to:)
i just watched the episode on hulu the other day and it was so so so good, pretty sure im going to have to watch it again. have fun with your visitors this week!ReplyDelete
