This Week's Love List

Here's what made me feel all twitterpated, smile contagiously, giggle uncontrollably, etc.

a crafty afternoon
Remember how I bought those old art books a few weeks ago? Well, I finally made my paper lantern, and I'm pretty pleased with how it turned out! I know these can be a little overdone, but I couldn't help myself. I have a thing for out-of-the-ordinary items that hang from the ceiling. If I had it my way, I'd live in an Anthropologie store. I love how they have random items hanging above you and odds and ends glued to the wall. Did you ever see the plastic silverware lined up artfully and pasted to the walls? I actually considered doing that at my own house, then I realized that my life isn't anything close to being like an ornamental Anthro display window. What can I say? Life and its chic thrills...

 Mary Kate McDevitt mini-chalkboard
I've been a fan of her etsy store for awhile. I've been looking for a reason to buy something. Much like hanging decor, I also have a thing for chalkboard ANYTHING and stupendous prints, hence the reason I just had to have something from her shop. Opening the package felt like Christmas morning. I'm not sure what I loved more, the actual purchase or the presentation. Her packaging was absolutely adorable! I had to save every part of the box, twine and paper. It was precious!

 some much-needed book love
I love a breezy afternoon, my fave chair and a great book.

 west elm goodies
You know how flyboy met up with my parents last weekend? Well, he came back with some merch from West Elm. Woop woop! The cost to ship items to this lovely island can be a bit steep. Bummer! When I found out he was going to see my family, my mom offered to pick up a few items for me that I'd been wanting, but didn't want to pay to ship. It just seems silly to buy a $20 bath mat and a few hand towels and splurge to ship it ($30? Get outta town!)! The grey and white pieces were the perfect accents to zhuzh our bathroom. Yahoo! Even Beesly loves the chevron bath rug. What can I say? She's a girl who appreciates the addition of a great new knick knack.

etsy find: vintage diecast airplane
It was cheap and a cute color. I couldn't resist!

goodies from trader joe's
My lovely parents also sent flyboy home with some pantry staples. Hello caramel sauce, I've missed you!

 j.crew bracelet
I picked this little gem up at J.Crew a few weeks ago. It was a last minute purchase -- displayed on the counter near the cash register to taunt me with its sparkly greatness. Boy, am I glad I grabbed it! It's a lively little accessory that has become a wardrobe staple in the past week. Did I really need another bracelet? Believe me, it was $18 well spent.

gleeking out
Flyboy might not be very pleased to read this, but it's time to confess publicly. We're a twentysomething married couple that enjoys Glee more than we probably should. A few weeks ago we planned a date night that includes sushi, 3D glasses and getting slushied. How tweeny bopper of us? Judge all you want, but it sounds like a great night to me! I honestly couldn't wait to experience the fake glitter/confetti slushy bits thrown into the audience. I was a little bummed to find out he'd be leaving again for another trip, but when he found out his alert time wasn't until Friday evening, we snuck in an afternoon showing. It was epic!
You wanna be a loser like me...
